Below are the most common residential cleaning questions we answer for clients and prospective clients.

Do you have your own cleaning supplies?

All cleaning supplies and cloths are provided by Maid Clean Services™. We use our all natural cleaning solutions to obtain the shine and fresh clean scent our clients love.  You may supply your favourite brand of cleaner if you wish.

Do you come to my house for a free estimate?

Yes. An estimate will take about 15 minutes. This first meeting provides an opportunity as well to walk through your home, room by room and for us to get a better understanding of your expectations. Estimates are provided only for those wishing to have ongoing, regularly scheduled cleaning.

Does someone need to be home during your cleanings?

No. It’s all up to you if you would like to be there.  If not, we will require a key or garage code to access the home on those days.  We are fully insured and bonded, your home's security is our top priority.

What are your normal days & hours you work?

We work Monday through Friday and typically start around 8:30 a.m. and try to be done by 4:00 p.m. We do not typically work weekends. There are occasions where we may be able to work a weekend for a special occasion; however, we do not take regular on-going clients on a weekend or evening schedule.

Can we request extra work on your visit?

Our cleaners are instructed to follow the work requirements listed on your service agreement.  Please call our office at least 48 hours in advance to schedule any additional needs or special requests.

Will I have the same people each time my home is cleaned?

This is your decision. It can be to your advantage to have a variation in the people cleaning due to differences in cleaning styles.  Should you request the same cleaners, we will do our very best to accommodate.

Do I need to do anything before you come for a cleaning?

You don’t need to do any cleaning before we come for our regularly scheduled clean. However, we do ask that you have your house neat and tidy before we arrive as time spent tidying up will detract from your available cleaning hours.

Are you bonded, insured and have WSIB coverage?

Yes, Maid Clean Services is fully bonded, insured and covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Our employees wear uniforms to identify themselves.

How is payment accepted?

Maid Clean Services does not bill or invoice. Your full payment on the day of the cleaning is appreciated.  Payment can be made by cheque, email transfer, Visa, MasterCard or cash.  Payments left on the kitchen counter or table in an envelope will be picked-up by the team leader upon arrival.  If a cheque is returned due to insufficient funds, you may be subject to an additional charge of $27.50.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No, we don’t require you to sign up for a long term contract. We do make an agreement (signed) with you though so that both parties have clear expectations of the terms and conditions.

How do you access our home?

Please make sure your home is accessible to us.  Most of our regular customers provide us with a key or garage code or both.  If your home is equipped with a security system, please ensure that we have the proper code prior to our arrival.

Can we change or cancel our cleaning day? What if I take a vacation?

If you must reschedule or skip your regular cleaning day, we appreciate at least 48hrs notice.  If we receive less notice, or, if upon arrival we cannot enter your home, it may be necessary for us to assess a $45.00 fee to cover expenses.

How long have you been cleaning homes and businesses?
